Here are a few things to keep in mind when adding a new thermostat to your home:

  1. Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for installing and programming your thermostat. 
  2. Consider hiring an HVAC professional to install the device. 
  3. Monitor your daily energy use by logging into your NGEMC account. An incorrectly installed or programmed device may cause your energy use to spike after installation.
