NGEMC Chairman's Memorial Scholarship Recipients 2023

High school seniors who reside on NGEMC lines are eligible for the $2,500 NGEMC Chairman’s Memorial Scholarship, named in memory of NGEMC Chairmen Howard Baker and Gerald Lowery.

NGEMC awards one scholarship to a student from each of the seven counties it serves. Additionally, two at large scholarships were awarded in 2023 in lieu of the Washington Youth Tour program. The Northwest Georgia Community Foundation assists NGEMC in presenting the scholarship by selecting recipients from the pool of applicants.

Winners include Andrea Almon, Northwest Whitfield High School; Mia Callahan, Heritage High School; Noah Campbell, Armuchee High School; Natalia Celis, Georgia Cyber Academy; Braylee Moore, Sonoraville High School; Daniel Skojac, North Murray High School; Nicholas Watson, Lafayette High School; Rylee Wells, Chattooga High School; and Abigail Wilson, Georgia Connections Academy.
