UPDATE: We have learned more about this issue. The initial test message was not intended to be outward facing. While conducting an internal test on a new software application, numerous messages were sent in error between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. this morning. These messages appear to be from a system called “Text Power.” This new system is in the testing phase (which is painfully clear at this time). Text Power is not related to the customer data base that generates standard alerts, reminders, and other informative messages. If you opted out of Text Power today, your normal communication selections from NGEMC will not be affected. We apologize for the confusion this has created. We appreciate your patience and regret the inconvenience this error has caused.
